Our Story

Tysen Churchman is a North Texas Ambassador for Best Buddies, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). He is known for being an advocate for inclusion and accessibility.
Notably, Tysen made history by becoming the first person to use an AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) device during an interview on Good Day Dallas. He uses an app on his iPhone to communicate due to a communication impairment. Through his work with Best Buddies, Tysen helps promote awareness and acceptance for people with IDD, inspiring others with his advocacy and leadership.
